Jaclyn Ziemniak

During her tenure in the sport of jousting, Jaclyn Ziemniak was Canada’s only female full contact jouster and one of very few women in the world who have ever competed at such a level. Jaclyn is also co-owner of Knight School Inc., which is a sports based empowerment organization specializing in Medieval Arts, safety and risk management, and modern corporate leadership. Jaclyn owns Target, a 19yr old paint gelding, Titan, an 11yr old Friesian Sporthorse draft X and is currently training and backing a 3yr old Friesian mare named Minka for an international client.

Jaclyn’s teaching style is predicated on understanding the physiology of the horse and how the rider can achieve the best partnership by maximizing their horse’s potential. Jaclyn enjoys working with young horses, starting and re-starting horses, beginner riders, nervous riders, and those looking to find a better connection through both seat and horsemanship. Helping riders that have plateaued make a breakthrough is one of the most rewarding experiences as an instructor. Assisting riders in achieving confidence and competency is the foundation of good riding, achieved through a full spectrum understanding of their partnership with the horse.Riders looking to work on their seat and connection will benefit from working with Jaclyn.

A horse can feel a fly land on them – they can feel everything we do as riders, which is why we should seek to create a bond that allows the horse to become an extension of ourselves.

Jaclyn will be offering lessons for horsemanship, beginner and intermediate riders, seat and connection and intro to mounted combat.
